OCGS Website Basics — Logging In

As we prepare for our transition to a more digital outreach, I will be posting information regarding use of the
website for those who need a bit of extra help. Feel free to scroll by if you don’t need assistance.

Logging In
Enter the website address into your browser. It is: https://ocgsmi.org/

  1. Look on the right side, you will see a member login box

2.  Type your user name and password in the fields provided and click “Login

Questions we get:

What if I don’t know my username or password?

Click “Forgot Password”. A box will open asking for your email address. Enter your email address and click the button which says “Reset”. Leave the window open and check your email. You will receive a message that looks like this:
____________________________________________________________________________________

Dear member: You have reset your password.  Membership details: Username: xxxxxx Password: xxxxxxxxxxxxx  You can update your password from the edit profile area of the site (after you log into the site).

Thank You

Since the password created may be difficult to remember, it can be helpful to copy and paste that information into the box on the website. Click “Login” and you will be logged in. After logging in, click “Edit Profile” and change your password to something you can remember. To change your password, enter the characters you choose in the box labeled “Password” and “Retype Password”. You can also change other information including your phone number, email address, and mailing address. After you have made changes, scroll down and click “Update”.

What if my email address has changed and I can’t access the old email?

Please email the webmaster, info@ocgsmi.org; or membership chairperson, membership@ocgsmi.org. We will be happy to update the email address in the database so you can address the password reset function.

We are not at our computers 24/7 but we are very willing to help and will respond as quickly as we can.
