Researching Immigration & Naturalization Records
Unless you are a Native American Indian, you are descended from immigrants. Many people have a strong desire to know why, when, and from where their ancestors emigrated. Scarcely any phase of family history research is as fascinating as tracking immigrant origins – and hardly any phase is as challenging. Learn effective strategies for locating these records and utilizing them to their full potential.

Speaker: Mark Mullinax
Mr. Mullinax holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State Universite and worked as a Genealogy Librarian at the Brighton District Library in Brighton, Michigan. He enjoyed assisting others in their efforts to learn about their ancestors, giving presentations on genealogy, helping preserve the history of Brighton and Livingston County and making that history easily accessible to others. He retired from the library in 2023 but continues giving presentations for genealogy clubs and libraries on a variety of topics.
